Habit Formation
Habit formation is the process by which a behavior, through regular repetition, becomes automatic or habitual. This plays an important role in developing life skills.
One of my friend @hemsinghpatle has written a book “The 5 Minutes Magical Habits” which is an excellent book to read . According to the Author our habits are formed in brain. In case we want to change these habits then we have to rewire our brain. The repetition of behavior(habits ) helps in rewiring the brain.
The book is ready reckoner which helps in adopting Good habits in life. The book provides practical ideas which can be used to build good habits.
The book consists of 52 chapters which includes an inspiration quote at the beginning and Inspired action at the end of chapter. One of my favorite chapter is “ The Habit of Tracking habits “ which is explained in very simple manner.
While conducting workshop on life skills , my message to youngsters have been to focus on being flexible while working on enhancing these skills. I was really glad find my frequently used quote in this book as well.

My take away from the interactions I had with the author during my chat show in Episode 25 of Season 1 and reading his book was to take small action. Just 5 minutes is enough to start the journey of cultivating new habit can which can go a long way. These habits then become part of your life and is sustainable.
Habit of Reading & Journaling every day is something which I was able to inculcate & that has become integral part of my life now.
