Today’s weekly blog is about learning and I believe in the fact that learning is always fun. While starting with my new socialpreneur journey last year wherein key focus to imparting life skill education through fun workshop. I read this book Learning 2. O written by Manoj Sonawane with whom I share a sibling bond. It is a brilliant book with the usage of quotes and simplicity of language. The book has four parts which is well interconnected and will be insightful to people who are in the field imparting knowledge.
1.Learning Through story – Each one of us have heard stories in our lifetime so Author explains in simple words concept of stories
being effective medium for learning and connecting with people through stories. So, story weaving & presentation skill are the key points articulated well here.
2. Content Creation, Retention and Crystallisation- Approach used for content creation is very interesting as it gives us insights for improving ideas over a period of time. Also explains the importance of goal setting for content crystallisation
3. Learning Psychology – Concept of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is well explained which helps in shifting your focus towards things which we love doing in life. Importance of developing a growth mindset early on in life by building challenging environment and teaching children to overcome are key to develop this mindset.
4. Accelerated Learning – Different methods of self-learning is also explained through example which can help one come with their own learning strategy.
I had a great time reading this book which helped me to be more creative with content creation for my social cause initiatives. I simply loved the way Author has provided a beautiful perspective about learning in the book.
My favorite quote in the book is from Thomas A. Edison “There’s a way to do it better -Find it.”
