Quietitude of the Mind
Achan had left a lot of books for me to read. I found a book named Quietitude of Mind which is written by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha.
I was fascinated to browse through this book because of the Title. This book is quite interesting and this word Quietitude is used to describe meaning of Sanskrit word upasama as used in Yogavasistha Ramayana. It denotes the transcendental serenity of the mind gained by a process of enlightenment and sublimation.
In simple term it means the approach to peace of mind.
Let me simplify it, Quietude means a quiet state. The concepts of getting to that’s state both science and practice is very well explained in the book.
I also found a sticky note written by Achan saying breathing . My interpretation of this note was that he must have used Breathing practice to quieten his mind.
Sometime it’s a message from universe when your life becomes fast paced to look within & quieten your mind to empower yourself in a manner which brings the best in you.
Hoping this post helps you with one more reason to focus inwards.
