Pebble stories
I spent my initial 10 years in a daycare when my parents went for work. In my early childhood days, I picked up new languages, habits from my caretakers and my daycare mates. I remember Akka, who always told me stories while putting me to sleep during the afternoon time. She used to tell there are beautiful round stones (pebbles)in the river faraway and each of them had a story. She associated stones with one message story. They were stories about Hope, Kindness, love, motivation, God, Ghost and fun ones too.
I passed on the legacy of stories to my students at my tuition centre and kids of daycare centre which my mother had started later on after quitting her fulltime job. My growing up years were filled with love and laughter probably that’s how I learnt to share and build interpersonal relationships which is an important life skill.
Now recently when I took a sabbatical, I travelled across to those faraway places and collected beautiful pebbles. So now I started painting the pebbles with a message on it. Just like Akka, I am looking forward to share them and ensure the legacy of pebble story continues.
Hope you find your own way of spreading goodness and love to others by sharing
